Alongside the announcement of the NEX-3 and NEX-5 ultra compact cameras, Sony also mentioned that it is developing a new AVCHD HD camcorder with an interchangeable lens system.
To be released in Fall, Sony’s new camcorder will be compatible with “E Mount” interchangeable lenses developed for Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5 as well as “A-mount” leneses. It also gets the same “Exmor” APS HD CMOS sensor used in the NEX-5 and NEX-3 models.
