Verizon announces the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II

We have seen leaked images and learned about some of the specifications thanks to tipsters in the know.  Now Verizon is sharing little more about the Galaxy Stratosphere II announced today.

Verizon announced their latest Android smartphone addition to the carrier’s stable. The Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II has a full five-row QWERTY keyboard, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED display and will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

This 4G LTE slider is also global ready and will support business user needs with VPN, and IT department management requirements of Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems. The Stratosphere Galaxy II will also enable on-device AES 256-bit encryption.

The Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II will cost $129.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract. When is it going to be available? “Coming soon” is the answer.
